ENTRY LEVEL REFEREE CLINIC
Kent Ackerson has scheduled a USSF Entry Level Referee Clinic at the Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room A. Dates are Friday, August 20, 6-9 PM and Saturday, August 21, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Cost is $45. Please make checks payable to "Iowa Referee Committee". Pre-registration is required. Go to the website http://iowareferees.org and click on "Calendar." Find the clinic in Iowa City on August 20, 2010, click the link, and fill out the information requested.
IOWA REFEREE COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Iowa Referee Committee is pleased to announce that an online option for acquiring the necessary recertification credit hours is now available at www.iowareferees.org
The online recertification option is provided by the Iowa Referee Committee as an alternative method of acquiring the required 4 hours of recertification "attendance" credit that are needed to unlock your online registration form, and for you to re-register annually.
To take advantage of this option, you need to log in to your account at www.iowareferees.org Locate and click on the "Training and Testing Center" button. A page will display your existing training records. Scroll down on this page and you will find "Available Training Modules." Locate the 2010 USSF Referee Recertification - Online Training & Exam. Click on "Open this module". Follow the directions on-screen, clicking the "next" button in the upper right portion of the window to move to the next page. At the conclusion of the module you will be prompted to take the 2010 USSF Referee Recertification Exam. You must pass this exam with a minimum 75% out of 100 questions. Your exam will be graded automatically by our web-based exam system, and, if you pass, the necessary hours will be added to your account immediately and your registration form unlocked.
As a reminder: 2010 USSF Referee Re-Registration is currently set to close on December 31, 2009 at 11:59pm. In order to referee in 2010, you must acquire the necessary 4 hours of recertification credit (through attending a meeting, or the online option) and complete your online registration at www.iowareferees.org For more information on recertification credit, please visit www.iowareferees.org and click on "Recertification" under the "Referees" link at the top of the web site.
