One hour of credit towards 2013 re-certification is earned for attendance at each meeting.  Attendance at 4 of the six meetings will count as 2013 re-certification.

The 11th Annual Iowa Referee Academy will be held at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA on Saturday, February 25th.  You may pre-register for the Academy by performing the following actions:

- Go to the Iowa Referee Committee (IRC) Website at http://www.iowareferees.org/
- Click on the Calendar Tab
- Go to February
- Click on “Iowa Referee Academy XI” in the February 25th cell
- Follow the Instructions to Register to Attend as either an Iowa or out-of-state Referee.

(As you pre-register, you will have the opportunity to purchase an Academy T-Shirt, make a monetary donation to the Academy, and select a Group (Color) for the presentation sessions so that you can stay with your kids throughout the day if you want and not get separated from them.)

An Advanced Clinic for Referees desiring to upgrade will be held the day after the Iowa Referee Academy at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA on Sunday, February 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Note: All USSF State-Level Referees should be in attendance.)

Guest Speakers include:
Sandra Serafini - FIFA Referee and USSF National Instructor
George Gansner - FIFA Assistant Referee
Jonathan Meersman - USSF National Instructor Trainer

The material to be presented by these guest speakers will benefit the USSF Grade 8 Referee who aspires to upgrade to a Grade 7 and the Grade 7 who would like to become a State-Level Referee. The program will also be of benefit to the AYSO Referee who would like to advance to the Intermediate, Advanced, or National Badge.

IOWA to Extend 2011 Registration Period

Recertification and registration deadlines have been extended to January 30, 2011, for referees needing to finish up their re-registration process.

For referees who were unable to attend recertification clinics due to weather this past week, hosts will be able to reschedule their clinic dates during the first four weeks of January, thus allowing the data base to be updated and referees to complete their 2011 registration by January 31.

For referees who were unable to complete the “on-line” recertification course and procedure, their deadline will be extended to January 31^th also.   This is primarily due to the difficulty that was had in getting the “on-line” program up and running this fall. To take the on-line re-certification you will need to log into your data page on the IRC website www.iowareferees.org. Once you have logged in, click on the Training & Testing Icon where you will find the module.
