The fall 2026 equipment pickup for coaches in Grades 3 and up is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25 between 6:30 and 7:30 pm at the north equipment building (near Field 12) at the Soccer Park. K-2 coaches can pick up their equipment bags on the first game day, September 12, at the equipment building before their game.
Starting with the fall of 2026, all coaching compliance requirements will be handled through Ankored. To get started, register as a coach with LeagueApps. Once registered, you will receive an email from Ankored to log in and complete your requirements. No separate account creation is needed, simply visit app.ankored.com or click on the logo above and use your LeagueApps username and password.

Kickers will be using Ankored for all future background checks. Background checks are executed in an effort to protect the children who participate in Kickers soccer activities. The criminal background screening is MANDATORY. All head coaches will be initially screened by Ankored ahead of the fall 2026 season. To get started, register in LeagueApps first. You will automatically receive an email with information once you have registered to coach. This initial screening will expire after 2 years and you will be notified when it is time to be rescreened. In the event information surfaces via the background check, a Kickers screening committee will review such background check information to determine coaching eligibility. Only members of the screening committee will review data obtained. All information is strictly confidential and will not be made public under any circumstances. The following offenses will result in automatic disqualification:
· Any sex offenses regardless of the time past since offense occurred
· Any felony offenses within the past 15 years
· Any misdemeanor violence offenses within the past 7 years
· Any misdemeanor drug or alcohol offenses with the past year or multiple offenses within the past 5 years
· Any other misdemeanor offenses within the past 5 years which would be considered a potential danger to children or is directly related to the volunteer functions of the applicant.

RESERVING PRACTICE FIELDS FOR GRADES 3 AND UP:
RESERVING PRACTICE FIELDS FOR GRADES 3 AND UP:
If you wish to use a field at the Iowa City Kickers Soccer Park on Mon-Fri, reservations must be made with the City of Iowa City. Click on the ICPR logo on the right to set up an account with the City and reserve a field. There is no charge to Kickers coaches reserving a field at the soccer park for practice. Put a note in the reservation request that you are a Kickers coach and then don't pay the fee. Charges will be removed when your request is received. Practices can be held at any other city park or green space without making a reservation. Schools can be another location for practices. Policies vary from school to school. Check with your school secretary to see if a reservation is needed. Contact Jeff Sears at jeff-sears@iowa-city.org or 319-356-5100 for questions on field reservations at the Kickers Soccer Park. If you run into a 5 day wait period after reserving, you can contact Jeff to have this over ridden.
